150°C is the perfect temperature for baking fish. A big piece of salmon should roast in the oven for around 30 minutes at that temperature. When the salmon is cooked through, the thickest section should flake easily with a fork, but to be sure, we suggest using a thermometer to check the internal temperature—70° C is the target.
Before arranging the lemon slices, we line our baking sheet with foil and then parchment paper. Place the salmon on top of the layered lemon slices and then cover with the seasoned garlic-butter mixture. Once the salmon has been poured, wrap it tightly in foil and paper to prevent any juices from leaking out. Bake for about 30 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and opaque, and a fork can easily pierce it. The last action? If you want your salmon to have that gorgeous browned color, broil it for four to six minutes.
